Kia Sonet Prime Expands the Sonet Line-Up in Uzbekistan

Sales of the Kia Sonet Prime, a new model in the compact urban crossover range, have started in Uzbekistan. The vehicle features a distinctive design, an expanded range of equipment and modern electronic systems, while retaining its practical format and proven powertrain. The existing Kia Sonet remains in the model range, with both crossovers available in Uzbekistan at the same time.

Both models are produced at the ADM Jizzakh plant using full-cycle CKD production, underlining the high level of production localisation and Kia’s long-term plans for the Uzbek market.

A New Look in Kia’s Latest Design Language

The Sonet Prime features completely redesigned front and rear sections. The model follows Kia’s latest design language, combining a geometrically detailed radiator grille with Star Map LED lighting and Ice Cube fog lamps.

At the rear, vertical lamps are connected by an LED strip extending across the full width of the tailgate. A new bumper and integrated spoiler complete the design.

The vehicle comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. Seven exterior colours are available for the Sonet Prime, along with two-tone options featuring either a red or white body with a contrasting black roof.

Two Large Displays and Three Interface Languages

One of the main changes to the interior is the new digital driver display area. The instrument cluster and multimedia system both feature 10.25-inch displays. The instrument cluster shows key vehicle information and driver assistance system data, while its appearance changes depending on the selected driving mode.

The multimedia system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interface is available in Uzbek, Russian and English.

The equipment list also includes a Bose audio system with seven speakers and a subwoofer, wireless charging, USB-C and USB-A ports, climate control, Smart Key keyless access, a power sunroof and ambient interior lighting with a choice of colours and lighting modes.

More Comfort for Passengers

The interior layout has also been revised to improve passenger comfort. The rear seat cushion is 21 mm longer, while the new shape of the front seatbacks provides an additional 30 mm of knee room for second-row passengers.

The rear seats can be adjusted forwards and backwards, while the backrest angle can also be changed.

The driver’s seat offers six-way adjustment, including four-way electric adjustment. Ventilated front seats are also available, providing additional comfort in hot weather.

Driver Assistance Systems

The Sonet Prime features a range of modern ADAS safety and driver assistance systems. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) detects vehicles, two-wheeled vehicles and pedestrians, warns the driver of potential danger and can apply emergency braking when necessary. Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) responds to unintended lane departure, while Lane Following Assist (LFA) helps keep the vehicle closer to the centre of the lane. Driver Attention Warning (DAW) monitors signs of fatigue and loss of concentration.

Front and rear parking sensors assist the driver when manoeuvring. The crossover also comes with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Hill-start Assist Control and Downhill Brake Control. Disc brakes are fitted to all four wheels.

Proven Powertrain

In Uzbekistan, the Kia Sonet Prime is available with a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 115 hp.

The engine is paired with an IVT continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. This combination is designed to provide smooth driving in urban traffic and comfortable everyday use.

Kia has also revised the damper, spring and stabiliser settings for the Sonet Prime. Additional sound-absorbing materials, changes to the floor trim and revised powertrain mountings help reduce noise and vibration inside the cabin.

Sales Start in Uzbekistan

The Kia Sonet Prime is available from UZS 269,900,000.

The vehicle comes with an official warranty of 5 years or 150,000 km.

Detailed information about specifications, pricing and purchase conditions for the Kia Sonet Prime is available on Kia’s official website in Uzbekistan and at the brand’s dealerships.
