Results of May 2026: the market continues to rely on SUVs
In May 2026, 2,856 cars of the Kia, CHERY and HAVAL brands were sold in Uzbekistan. Despite seasonal fluctuations in demand, crossovers still form a significant part of the market, but NEV models are gradually increasing their presence.New K3 enters the market, Sonet retains leadership: Kia sales results in May

At the end of May 2026, 1,255 Kia cars were delivered to customers in Uzbekistan.
The bulk of demand traditionally fell on the compact urban crossover Kia Sonet, which confirmed its status as the brand’s most popular model. Within a month, 833 Sonet vehicles were found to have owners.
The most popular models also included the Kia K5 and Kia Sportage. Sales of the K5 business class sedan amounted to 158 cars, which is 9.7% more than in April. The Sportage crossover sold 106 crossovers.
The remaining models of the brand showed the following results:
● Sorento – 60 crossovers;
● Carens – 33 crossvans;
● Bongo – 24 commercial vehicles;
● Seltos – 13 crossovers;
● Cerato – 10 sedans;
● K3 – 7 sedans;
● K8 – 6 business class sedans;
● Carnival – 4 minivans;
● K9 – 1 premium sedan.
The new Kia K3 sedan deserves special attention. Production of the model started at the ADM Jizzakh plant at the end of April, and in May the brand officially announced the start of sales on the Uzbekistan market. Despite the recent launch, the first cars have already found their owners.
The new K3 expands Kia's presence in the compact sedan segment and offers customers contemporary design, high levels of equipment and proven technology. The model has become one of the brand's most anticipated launches in 2026 and is designed to strengthen Kia's position in one of the most popular segments of the country's automobile market.
May's results confirm the continued interest of buyers in the Kia model range and the effectiveness of the brand's strategy aimed at offering modern, technologically advanced and affordable cars for various categories of customers.
CHERY: sales growth, first sales of the new Tiggo 9 Hybrid

In May, CHERY delivered 917 cars to customers, which is 7.1% higher than the April result.
The largest sales volume was provided by:
● Tiggo 2 Pro – 336 compact crossovers;
● Tiggo 7 Pro – 262 crossovers;
● Arrizo 6 Pro – 224 sedans, up 35.8% from April 2026.
At the same time, the brand continues to strengthen its position in the segment of hybrid vehicles with CSH (CHERY SUPER HYBRID) technology. In May, 7.6% of buyers chose:
● Arrizo 8 Hybrid – 36 business class sedans;
● Tiggo 8 Hybrid – 26 crossovers;
● Tiggo 9 Hybrid – 8 crossovers. This premium seven-seater hybrid, along with the internal combustion engine version, was presented on May 30 this year.
Also implemented during the month:
● Tiggo 8 Pro – 24 crossovers;
● Tiggo 9 Pro – 1 crossover.
NEV-models CHERY are gradually strengthening their position in the market of Uzbekistan.
HAVAL: Jolion sales increased by 19.4%

In May, HAVAL sold 684 vehicles.
The brand's sales leader remains the M6 - 341 crossovers were sold in a month. Behind it is Jolion with a result of 228 SUVs, which is 19.4% more than in April 2026.
Also at the end of the month the following were implemented:
● H6 – 80 SUV.
● H9 – 21 full-size SUVs;
● Dargo – 12 mid-size SUVs;
● Wingle 7 – 2 pickups.
M6 and Jolion continue to provide significant volume of demand for HAVAL vehicles in Uzbekistan.
