Shavkat Mirziyoyev Reviews DOST National Car Brand Project and ADM Technical Laboratory at New Uzbekistan University

ADM Global presented the DOST project, Uzbekistan’s first national car brand, to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During his visit to New Uzbekistan University ahead of Teachers and Mentors Day, the President visited the ADM technical laboratory, where students work alongside engineers from the ADM Jizzakh automotive plant on the development of the vehicle.

The creation of a national car brand represents the next step in the development of Uzbekistan’s automotive industry and its own engineering capabilities. It will help reduce dependence on external constraints, create more opportunities to introduce locally developed technical solutions and provide greater independence in product development.

ADM Jizzakh is Uzbekistan’s first privately owned multi-brand automotive plant. Its experience in producing vehicles for international brands and its existing manufacturing base allow the company to apply the expertise it has accumulated to the development and subsequent production of vehicles under its own brand.

ADM is currently developing the concept for the future vehicle and preparing the production site. At the first stage, DOST will enter the light commercial vehicle segment. This will allow the company to assess demand for the national brand, refine its product and marketing solutions and prepare for the next stage: the development of a passenger car. ADM plans to present the first prototype of the DOST passenger car at the beginning of next year.

A separate focus of the project is the development of engineering capabilities. ADM Global systematically invests in training specialists for Uzbekistan’s automotive industry. With the support of the holding company, an engineering ecosystem is being developed at New Uzbekistan University, bringing together education, R&D and manufacturing.

The educational model follows the standards of leading global automotive manufacturers and combines fundamental academic training with work on real engineering challenges. Students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice and work alongside ADM engineers on the development of Uzbekistan’s national car.
