The ADM Jizzakh plant will produce 100,000 passenger cars per year

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the "ADM Jizzakh" automobile plant.

Previously, Jizzakh region was one of the regions with the lowest industrial indicators. Today, industry has entered every district.

The "Jizzakh" free economic zone plays a major role in the development of the regional industry. It ranks third in the republic in terms of product production and sixth in terms of export volume.

In subsequent years, its activities have been improved and production facilities have been expanded. Today, 33 projects are being implemented in the industrial zone, employing 7,670 people.

“ADM Jizzakh” Limited Liability Company is one of the enterprises operating effectively in the industrial zone. It was established in 2021. Over the past three years, 36,000 cars of 23 types have been produced under the Kia, Chery and Haval brands. Currently, 17 percent of the Uzbek automobile market is made up of cars manufactured at this plant.

As part of the project, $234 million was invested and 1,800 jobs were created.

In the first stage, a large-scale assembly plant was established. At the same time, work was carried out to expand the plant, and in March this year, new buildings and capacities were commissioned.

That is, a production process was organized, involving high technologies, including stamping, welding, painting and assembly.

The enterprise is equipped with high-tech equipment. They were imported from countries such as South Korea, Japan and Germany. The plant has 30 robots, and the production process is 33 percent automated. Equipment for checking the condition of the vehicle's running gear, static and dynamic braking systems has been installed.   

Our President gave instructions to increase the level of localization at the plant and expand cooperation with industrial enterprises of our country.

Work has begun in this regard. It is planned to localize 348 types of components in 2024-2027. Currently, a cooperation system has been established with 21 enterprises in our country.

In general, the enterprise will have a production capacity of 100 thousand passenger cars per year. As a result, it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 3,000 in the future.

In order to further improve the quality of cars, qualified specialists were attracted from South Korea, India, China and Vietnam. In this regard, it is planned to send 50 engineers to research and design centers in South Korea and China for advanced training starting this year with foreign partners.

The head of our state saw the new “Kia Sonet” car, the production of which has begun at the plant.
