Kia introduces new Carens crossover in Uzbekistan

On May 24, 2024, a new Kia Rohat dealership was opened in Tashkent. On this day, the ADM Global group of companies, the official distributors of the Kia car brand in Uzbekistan, held a solemn presentation ceremony of the new Kia Carens crossover and launched its sales.

Kia Carens is offered in Uzbekistan in four different configurations. Customers are offered the following gasoline engine modifications: 115-horsepower 1.5 MPI with distributed fuel supply, and 160-horsepower 1.5 T-GDI engines with direct fuel supply and turbo injection. The naturally aspirated 1.5 MPI engine works in tandem with an “intelligent” continuously variable transmission. In turn, the dynamic 1.5 T-GDI is aggregated with a two-link, seven-speed 7DCT preselective gearbox. In all trim levels, the Kia Carens will have front-wheel drive. The overall dimensions of the crossover are 4545 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, 1705 mm in height, and the wheelbase is 2780 mm.

The prices of the Kia Carens vary depending on the trim level:

• Comfort – 299,900,000 soms;
• Luxe – 319,900,000 soms;
• Premium – 374,900,000 soms;
• Premium+ – 399,900,000 soms.

Kia Carens is a crossover that combines the attractive features of crossovers and minivans. The ground clearance of 180 mm provides excellent cross-country ability, and the plastic covers on the wheel arches bring the car closer to the style of crossovers and provide additional protection for the body when driving on bad roads. At the same time, the spacious interior, like that of a minivan, provides ample transformation opportunities for transporting passengers and luggage. The crossover can equally well serve as a car for families with many children who love to travel and have active rest, or as a mobile office for businessmen. Safety, modernity and ease of use are the main, but not the only, advantages of this car.

The design of the new Carens is fully consistent with Kia's "Opposites United" philosophy, created in a high-tech style with elements inspired by nature. The crossover's recognizable and unforgettable style evokes emotions and a sense of respect, the car has a solid and bold appearance. At the same time, Kia Carens has the full measure of elegance inherent in the most modern concepts. The design of the radiator grille in the Kia "Tiger Smile" style was created taking into account the modern trends of the digital age, and the creation of LED headlights, daytime running lights and taillights Kia’s latest “Star Map” lighting technology is used.

The interior of the Kia Carens inspires with its modernity and even futuristic. It is designed with great care to make every journey perfect. The Crossvan is offered in Uzbekistan in a three-row, six-seat version of the cabin, with two “captains” seats in the second row, which can be folded at the touch of a button, and a third row of seats that can be folded in a 50/50 ratio. The aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.31, which is very low for this class of cars, also helps to reduce noise and improve fuel economy.

The new Kia Carens is light and precise in handling. The car has a front suspension with MacPherson struts and a rear suspension with a cut-away torsion beam and coil springs The suspension is tuned to provide the perfect balance between steering precision and comfort even on rough roads. All four wheels of the car are equipped with an effective disc brake system, which provides an impressive braking distance of just 42.4 meters from 100 km/h.

In the basic configuration, the car is equipped with 16-inch steel wheels with 205/65 R16 tires, and all versions are equipped with a full-size spare wheel.

As is traditional for Kia, safety issues were a priority in the design of the car. 34 percent of the body structure is made of high-strength steel (AHSS) Made of steel. Up to 6 airbags can be installed, all versions have a mechanical "child lock" on the rear doors.

It is worth noting that even in the basic version, the car is equipped with turn signal repeaters mounted on the exterior mirrors, heated exterior mirrors and a rear spoiler with an additional stop signal. All trim levels of the car are equipped with an immobilizer, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill start assist (HAC), rear parking sensors and a rear view camera. The Crossvan is equipped with electric windows, cruise control, manual speed limiter, air conditioning (with additional air conditioning for the 2nd and 3rd rows of seats), and a light sensor. There are ceiling lights for the second and third rows, luggage compartment lighting, a USB port in the second row, and a net for securing cargo in the trunk. The model is equipped with a modern Supervision instrument panel with a color 4.2-inch display based on a TFT matrix and a multimedia system with a central 8-inch display.

In the Comfort configuration, the New Carens is equipped with halogen headlights. The seat upholstery is made of a combination of wear-resistant fabric and artificial leather. The Luxe trim level additionally includes LED taillights, electric folding exterior mirrors, leather steering wheel, full leatherette seat upholstery, heated front seats, front parking sensors, Auto function for all window regulators, Smartkey keyless entry system with push-button start/stop, automatic climate control.

Premium and Premium+ trim levels provide an extended range of comfort and safety options. Externally, such cars are distinguished by chrome-plated radiator grilles, roof rails, main headlights with LED reflectors, LED fog lights and daytime running lights, and a rain sensor. The interior is equipped with a package of LED lighting and contoured interior lighting. An electric sunroof and front seat ventilation provide additional comfort on hot days. In addition to the basic equipment, the car is additionally equipped with side airbags and curtain airbags along the entire length of the cabin, a Drive Mode Select driving mode selection system, sun blinds for the second row of windows, as well as folding tables in the back of the seats for second-row passengers. A wireless charging pad for the phone and a premium Bose acoustic system are installed.

Kia Carens is available in 7 body colors: Imperial Blue, Sparking Silver, Intense Red, Clear White, Gravity Gray, as well as a "pearl" color. It is offered in Glacier White Pearl and Aurora Black Pearl color options.

The manufacturer guarantees the Kia Carens for 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first, provided that the recommendations specified in the car's operating manual are followed.
